Phillies Scout Night 2011

22 Scouts and their families from Pack 151 endured the bitter cold and wind in the 300 level of Citizens Bank Park at the Phillies annual Scout night last night. Roy Oswalt pitched the 8-5 win against the Pirates.

Before the game, the boys of Pack 151 were part of a 9,000-strong parade of area Scouts that paraded around the field pre-game. The group was so large, the first pitch was delayed by 20 minutes. While Pack 151 was on the field, first baseman Ryan Howard ran right through the middle of our group as we passed the Phillies dugout. As we left the field, our boys were projected 76 feet tall on the largest scoreboard screen in baseball.

Thanks to Deb Walter for her connections to get us such great seats!

We’re already planning for Phillies Scout Night 2012. The Wilmington Blue Rocks and Lancaster Barnstormers have their Scout nights (with a sleepover option) on August 12. Watch the events page for more information.
